MISSION

The study and performance of chamber music presents a unique opportunity for musicians to practice their own instruments, while interacting with other musicians and discovering some of the greatest music ever written. Our goal is to provide an immersive musical environment for students, in which they can not only expand their knowledge of chamber music, but also deepen their musical experience as a whole.

HISTORY

2017 will be our 11th season at FCMF. During that time, more than ninety students have studied and performed more than 100 pieces of music, under the direction of fourteen faculty members. We have hosted five guest ensembles, and an assortment of wonderful guest artists. Our performances have reached audiences at two universities in Arkansas, plus churches and other public venues. Our youngest student was eight years old, and recently we have incorporated college students as well. We have also created new partnerships with other dynamic members of our community, including the Chamber Music Society of Little Rock.

LOCATION

We are hosted by the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
